Purpose:

Content: This report introduces the new fly-tipping action-plan and provides members with the opportunity to comment and feedback on the current draft proposal to address the growing concern of the increase of fly tipping incidents and the associated negative impact this has on the street environment.   Cllr Aspinell MOVED and Cllr Worsfold SECONDED the recommendations in the report.  A vote was taken by a show of hands and it was RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:   R1 – That the Fly Tipping Action Plan, as appended to this report, be approved.   R2 – That a report be submitted to the committee in 6 months updating on progress against the action plan and the performance measures set out therein.   REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION The Action Plan will continue the Council’s focus on reducing the incidences of fly-tipping across the borough and to take enforcement action where appropriate.
