Purpose:

Content: Approve the appointment of Paine Manwaring (PMW) to provide MEP works at Worthing Town Hall and Worthing Assembly Hall (totalling £293,065.45) for the supply and fitment radiators, valves and various other heating components in order to ready the buildings heating’s systems for connection to the Worthing Heat Network (WHN) in place of the current set up. This is being funded by the central government by PSDS awarded funding.  This work is part of 3b funding, which covers Worthing Town hall, Worthing Assembly Hall, Connaught Theatre and Studio, Portland House. This has been procured through the NHS framework as a direct award in accordance with our contract standards and Procurement team have approved and overseen the process. Decision made to Paine Manwaring due to them winning the tender after going through the normal tender evaluation process in line with WBC procurement processes. Considered other companies through the tendering process, but when all tenders were evaluated, Paine Manwaring came back with the highest score overall.    The project cannot be delayed due to timescales of funding.
