Purpose:
Content: Following the resignation of the Chief Executive, the Committee considered arrangements. The Committee considered arrangements to recruit to the position, which was also the Council’s designated Head of Paid Service which was a statutory role. It was proposed by the Elected Mayor and seconded by Councillor Wright that recruitment of an Interim Chief Executive be undertaken by way of a ring-fenced internal recruitment campaign. Further that the job description and person specification reflect the full duties of the role and that the pay range for the post be unchanged. On the motion being put to the vote, the motion was approved unanimously. Resolved – (i) That the recruitment to the post of Interim Chief Executive by way of a ring-fenced internal recruitment campaign be noted. (ii) That the Job Description and Person Specification for the post of Chief Executive reflect the full duties of the post, which include the duties of the Electoral Registration Officer and Returning Officer as well as working with partners and stakeholders. (iii) That the pay range for post remain unchanged.
