Cabinet approves delegation to the Strategic Director for Regeneration and Environment, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Jobs and the Local Economy, to update the Risk Register as and when new buildings become at risk or works to remove the risk have been undertaken. That the updated Heritage at Risk Register 2024 is approved, to inform the prioritising of actions and resources to address the potential deterioration and loss of heritage assets. 2. That the principle of including on the Heritage at Register those identified locally listed heritage assets identified as being at risk, is supported. Reasons for the Decision: An up-to-date Heritage at Risk Register will reflect the current status of heritage assets within the Borough, to aid the Council’s decision-making on prioritisation of resources. Details of alternative options considered and rejected: Not updating the Heritage at Risk Register would fail to acknowledge some of the at-risk assets that are now being successfully restored and would not identify new at-risk assets that require attention.
