Content: The purpose of this decision is to approve the Council’s response to the government’s consultation on Reforming the Right to Buy. To approve the consultation response as set out in Appendix A – Reforming the Right to Buy. The proposed changes to policy are positive with the aim to deliver a fairer, better value and more sustainable scheme. Option 1: To not respond to the consultation. Reason for Rejection: The proposed changes to policy within the consultation paper will affect the Housing Service and therefore it is important that the Council inputs into any policy decisions made by Government.
