Purpose:

Content: To award a 24-month contract to Phoenix Software Limited at the cost of £0.200m, to manage the technical implementation of Microsoft 365 for the Council, including Microsoft Security, Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 Collaboration Apps. The primary driver for this work is to support Tameside Council to achieve the digital transformation objectives as approved by Cabinet on 25 September 2024. To commission a technical implementation partner to provide specialist advice, skills and guidance in ensuring M365 is configured in the most optimal way. The Council increased its investment in Enterprise 5 Microsoft 365 licences in April 2024 which has a vast range of capabilities, some of which will replace existing solutions and provide staff with the tools to work more efficiently. The uplift in licences also provides the Tameside MBC with access to a range of security and compliance features. The Council must commission a partner with the in-depth skills and experience to implement M365 to industry best-practice standards. The security configuration of the platform must be done correctly to mitigate against the risks of cyber or information governance.
