Purpose: Procurement of an Electronic Document Retrieval Management (EDRM) solution from Crown Commercial Framework RM6259 lot 1 via direct award for a contract period of 5 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
Content: Procurement of an Electronic Document Retrieval Management (EDRM) solution from Crown Commercial Framework RM6259 lot 1 via direct award for a contract period of 5 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years. The Cabinet considered a report of the Director of Corporate Services, which sought approval of the procurement of a document management solution for some Council’s services. This action would support the ongoing transformation changes within the Council by moving support and maintenance of document management to a cloud-hosted solution. The Portfolio Holder for Corporate, Governance and Transformation introduced the report by informing the Cabinet that this solution would provide a more robust and cost effective document management solution by removing the use of multiple document management solutions and focusing on one online hosted solution. This would create efficiencies and a reduction in costs. The Assistant Director Digital, ICT and Transformation was in attendance to present the information and to address the questions and the comments of the Cabinet Members. Resolved that the recommendations set out in section two of the report be agreed. Reason for decision: As set out in section three of the report. Alternatives considered and rejected: As set out in section four of the report.
