The grant scheme seeks to provide support to forced migrant communities in line with the purpose of the funding for which the Council has been provided. 3. A full process has been undertaken to enable community and locally based organisation to apply for funding that will support forced migrant communities. This provides an open and transparent process for how the council has determined to award grants. 4. The reasons to approve an additional direct award has taken in to consideration that there has been an open process prior, that not all funds have been awarded and that a local need had been demonstrated.
