Purpose: Members to be updated on revenue and capital expenditure, commitments and balances of Rochdale North Township Funds 2025/26 and enable the allocation of funds to proposed projects.

Content: The Sub-Committee gave consideration to a report of the Director of Public Health and Communities which provided an update on revenue and capital expenditure, commitments and balances of Rochdale North Township Funds for 2025/26 and enabled the allocations of funds to proposed projects.   Members were informed that the Rochdale North Township Capital Funds available for allocation was currently £90,364 and that the Rochdale North Township Revenue Funds available for allocation was currently £30,068.   The Townships Officer advised that the delegated decision referenced at Appendix 3 for ‘Balderstone and Kirkholt Girls & Women's Rugby League Development’ should not be noted as it was a delegated decision for the information of Rochdale South Township Delegated Sub-Committee.   Alternatives considered: Members were asked to decide whether or not to approve the allocations of funds to projects as appropriate. Members could have also decided to defer decisions and request further information or revisions to proposals.   Resolved: 1.    That the expenditure, commitments and balances of the Rochdale North Township revenue and capital funds, as detailed at Appendices 1 and 2 of the submitted report, be noted;   2.    That the decisions made under delegated authority as detailed at Appendix 3 of the submitted report be noted;   3.    That the Sub-Committee notes that the Head of Townships & Libraries had assessed the proposed projects to be considered for funding against the criteria of eligibility for the Rochdale North Township Fund, the priorities of the Township and any specific risks had been identified within the report;   4.    That the Head of Townships & Libraries, in consultation with the Chair, Vice-Chair and opposition spokesperson of the Sub-Committee, be given delegated authority to make decisions on any deferred projects;   5.    That applications for Rochdale North Township Funds 2025/26 as outlined at Appendix 4 of the submitted report be dealt with as follows:     Reference Applicant Decision RPN/01/25   Become United Approved - £2,000 from Revenue Funds.   RPN/02/25   Your Trust Approved - £1,620 from Revenue Funds.   RPN/03/25   Rochdale Foodbank Approved - £5,374.72 from Revenue Funds.   RPN/04/25   Denehurst Friends Group / Councillor Faisal Approved - £1,000 from Revenue Funds and £200 from Councillor Faisal’s Members Funds.   RPN/05/25   Al-Abbas Institute Approved - £4,995.83 from Revenue Funds subject to receipts from the previous grant funding award being approved.
