Purpose: Lichfield West Midlands Trading Services (LWMTS) have been commissioned to deliver Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) adaptations on behalf of the Council (LDC). The company were previously using a third party DPS system to award works to contractors. However, this proved to be complicated and time consuming, resulting in longer than necessary time frames for the service user to have works completed. Following a compliant PCR 2015 full tender process, LDC are recommending the award of six competent contractors to a new £1bn ‘DFG Works Framework’ with an aspirational start date of 1st July 2025, for a period of 2 + 2 years. The Framework can be used by LWM. It is also anticipated that the Framework will be utilised by other public sector associations experiencing similar issued by charging an access fee.
