Purpose: To propose the establishment of a Shareholder Advisory Group to support the Cabinet: •in its role as shareholder for the Council’s wholly owned trading company, Lichfield West Midlands Traded Services Ltd (LWM), •in its role as shareholder for any future council-owned companies, •in overseeing other commercial relationships including joint ventures.

Content: To propose the establishment of a Shareholder Advisory Group to support the Cabinet: •in its role as shareholder for the Council’s wholly owned trading company, Lichfield West Midlands Traded Services Ltd (LWM), •in its role as shareholder for any future council-owned companies, •in overseeing other commercial relationships including joint ventures. The Leader of the Council:   Approved the creation of a Shareholder Advisory Group to support shareholder oversight of LWM, any future wholly owned companies and other commercial relationships including joint ventures.   Approved the draft Terms of Reference attached at Appendix A of the Cabinet Member Report.   Delegated authority to the Leader, in consultation with the Chief Executive and Monitoring Officer to finalise membership and make any minor amendments to the Terms of Reference.   Noted that the Advisory Group will operate in an advisory and non-decision-making capacity, with all formal shareholder powers retained by Cabinet.
