Purpose: To seek approval to reintroduce reusable recycling sacks for plastics, cans and foil for South Gloucestershire residents receiving a kerbside recycling collection.

Content: i)      To approve the provision of all households on a kerbside recycling service collection route with a reusable recycling bag for plastics, cans and foil. ii)     To delegate future decisions on the use of recyclable bags for other materials to the Recycling and Waste Management team. iii)    The cabinet member noted the points raised at scrutiny commission including future ambition to source bags more locally to further enhance the overall carbon footprint of the scheme
