Purpose: Burntwood Scouts requested a new lease for a term of 30 years, with amendments to the existing lease.       The District Council has agreed a 20 year Lease, to be excluded from the protection of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and proposed amendments have been agreed.   The annual rent will increase from £250 to £425, excluding VAT.

Content: Burntwood Scouts requested a new lease for a term of 30 years, with amendments to the existing lease.       The District Council has agreed a 20 year Lease, to be excluded from the protection of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and proposed amendments have been agreed.   The annual rent will increase from £250 to £425, excluding VAT. The Cabinet Member for Finance and Commissioning approved: •           A new 20-year lease to the 1st Burntwood Scout Group. •           That the lease will follow the same terms as the existing agreement dated 14 June 2008, including rent reviews every five years. •           The new lease will be formalised through an addendum to the original, incorporating agreed amendments and updates in line with current legislation.
