Purpose: To summarise the financial position of the General Fund, Housing Revenue Account and Capital Investment Programme as at 30 September 2025.

Content: Agreed (i) - That it be noted, that at the end of September 2025, net pressures of £4.1 million have been highlighted on the General Fund. Agreed (ii) - That it be noted, that the projected overspend relates primarily to Children and Family Services, with pressures in other areas being offset by other underspends; there remains a continued tight control over expenditure and identification of mitigations, some of which are one-off in nature. Agreed (iii) - That it be noted, that all directorates will continue to control expenditure tightly to mitigate the challenges and uncertainties existing within the current financial environment and any ongoing pressures. Agreed (iv) - That the position against 2025/26 General Fund saving proposals be noted. Agreed (v) - That the position on the strategic contingency and the transformation budget be noted. Agreed (vi) - That the position on the Dedicated Schools Grant be noted. Agreed (vii) - That the forecast outturn on the Housing Revenue Account be noted. Agreed (viii) - That the forecast outturn and the summary of changes on the Capital Investment Programme be noted.   N.B.  THIS REPORT IS FOR INFORMATION AND THEREFORE NOT SUBJECT TO CALL-IN.
