Purpose:

Content: That planning permission be granted, subject to conditions outlined within the officer’s report, with an amendment to condition 26 that should read as:   26. Throughout the construction phase, the developer shall undertake repeat surveys of the condition of the adopted highway at intervals not exceeding three months. Each survey shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority within 14 days (or other timescale to be agreed with the Local Planning Authority following completion. The extent of the area to be surveyed must be agreed by the Highways Authority prior to the survey being undertaken. It shall include the construction routes into the site from the King Street/Town Lane junction to the site.   The survey must consist of:   ·                     A plan to a scale of 1:1000 showing the location of all defects identified; ·                     A written and photographic record of all defects with corresponding location references accompanied by a description of the extent of the assessed area and a record of the date, time and weather conditions at the time of the survey.   Any additional damage identified during these surveys shall be rectified by the contractor to the satisfaction of the LHA within 14 days (or other timescale to be agreed with the Local Planning Authority) of being identified.   REASON: To ensure that any damage to the adopted highway sustained during the development process is identified and remedied at the developer's expense, in the interests of highway safety and maintenance.
