Purpose: Beach replenishment is needed to prevent flooding of residential homes at Eastoke Frontage area.

Content: Beach replenishment is needed to prevent flooding of residential homes at Eastoke Frontage area.   The Eastoke frontage at Hayling Island suffered significant erosion between 1st December and 7th December 2025. Bays 27, 28, 29, and 30 were severely depleted, increasing the risk of flooding to properties that are adjacent to the promenade. To maintain protection through to the next planned recycling the beach needs to be re-built as far as possible Material will be pushed back from the promenade as well as brought in from where it naturally builds up by Coast Guard revetment to support these areas.   The Council has a Term Service Contract with provision for emergency response with Les Searle Plant Hire Ltd.  And they were mobilised to undertake emergency beach replenishment works. The operation is scheduled to take place over 5 days, from 9 to 15 December 2025, at an estimated cost of approximately £30,000.
