Purpose:

Content: To note the current planning assumptions used in the Medium Term Financial Strategy for 2026/27 to 2029/30, as set out in Appendix A. To approve the recommended fees and charges as set out in Appendix C.  To note the officer recommending assumption used, for a Council Tax increase for the 2026/27 financial year of 4.99%. To note the revised Capital Programme as set out in Appendix E, To note the Capital additions as set out in Section 8 and Appendix F, To note the outcome of the draft local government settlement published by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities on 17 December 2025, paragraph 2.2 to 2.6, To note the Council’s response to the draft Local Government Finance Settlement 2026/27 to 2028/29 consultation as set out in Appendix G, and To note a further report is due at Public Cabinet in February 2026 which will provide a further update on the Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy.
