Purpose:

Content: That Full Council be recommended to:   a)    consider the outcome of the consultation with the Schools Forum relating to options to be considered in setting the Schools Budget, b)  note the ongoing work relating to the DfE’s DSG Safety Valve process, c)    approve the setting of the Schools Budget 2026-27 based on the following:   (i)     A £2.2m DSG block transfer from the Schools Block to the High Needs Block and the corresponding school formula funding rates and Top-Up Rates as set out in the recommended options in Appendix B. (ii)   authority is delegated to the Executive Director of the Department for People in consultation with the Cabinet member for Schools, Skills and Employment to update Formula Rates if necessary, following any direction from the DfE. (iii) the Early Years Single Funding Formula rates as set out in Paragraph 37 and Appendix C.
