Content: Cabinet: 2.1 The Cabinet Member approved the grant of the new lease on the terms agreed. 1.1 The current lease expires 16th January 2026. The lease is excluded from the Security of Tenure provisions of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954. 1.2 Following negotiations terms have been agreed for a new 5-year excluded lease (further details outlined in Appendix A) 1. Not renew the lease and secure vacant possession for LDC to: a) Sell the asset. b) Remarket the premises to find an alternative tenant but pay rates and utilities in the meantime. c) Use the property for its own purposes and take no rent but pay rates and taxes. d) Convert the property into an alternative use.
