Purpose: As vehicles age, maintenance requirements and repair costs typically increase, while fuel efficiency and operational performance decline. The Council has other more modern vehicles available. Newer vehicles are better for the environment, with lower emissions and higher efficiency and safety standards. By transitioning to a more efficient and dependable vehicle, there shall be a reduction in ongoing operational costs and risk. New transport arrangements shall align with organisational expectations and corporate priorities.
