Purpose: The variable fees for the Stray Dogs and Animal Licensing services were omitted from the documents presented to Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and the Fees and Charges Schedule for 2026/27 agreed by Cabinet on 3 December 2025.   The variable fees for the Stray Dogs and Animal Licensing services were omitted from the documents presented to Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and the Fees and Charges Schedule for 2026/27 agreed by Cabinet on 3 December 2025 due to an administrative error caused by the values being a range rather than a fixed sum.  

Content: The variable fees for the Stray Dogs and Animal Licensing services were omitted from the documents presented to Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and the Fees and Charges Schedule for 2026/27 agreed by Cabinet on 3 December 2025.   The variable fees for the Stray Dogs and Animal Licensing services were omitted from the documents presented to Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and the Fees and Charges Schedule for 2026/27 agreed by Cabinet on 3 December 2025 due to an administrative error caused by the values being a range rather than a fixed sum.   Approval of the following variable fees for the animal welfare and licensing services, which were omitted in error from the Fees and Charges Schedule for 2026/27 agreed by Cabinet on 3 December 2025.   • Stray Dogs: Emergency medical treatment of dogs in care of the Council (recovery of costs) o 2026/27 Fee: Variable   • Animal Licensing: Zoo applications (charged at hourly rate, will include interim and full inspections and work undertaken to reinspection, excludes vet inspections which will be recharged separately at cost price) o 2026/27 Fee: Variable   • Animal Licensing: Any variation or amendment to licenses (£30 minimum + £25.50 per hour for additional work as agreed) o 2026/27 Fee: Variable •   Animal Licensing: Primate applications (charged at hourly rate, interim and full inspections and work undertaken to reinspection, excludes vet inspections which will be recharged separately at cost price) o 2026/27 Fee: Variable   Fees for these services are cost-neutral, meaning that they are set on a cost recovery basis only. Charging these fees is essential to fund the delivery of these statutory functions.
