Purpose: The Section 106 agreement with Whittington Heath Golf Club will secure the long-term management of the proposed Habitat Bank at Whittington Heath Golf Club in Whittington.  It will formally commit the developer to manage the site, and the Council to monitor it for 30 years. Once signed, the s106 agreement allow the site to be listed on the Natural England Biodiversity Gain Sites Register and open the Bank for the purchase of Biodiversity Units (BUs) by developers in the district.

The Cabinet Member for Visitor Economy, Ecology & Climate Change approved to enter into the S106 agreement at Appendix 1 for Whittington Heath Golf Club Habitat Bank at Whittington Heath Golf Club, Common Ln, Whittington, Lichfield WS14 9GX that will include a 30-year Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan (HMMP).
