Purpose: The purpose of this report is to seek approval for the demolition of Housing Revenue Account Assets at Bell House and Barker House following decommissioning of the blocks.

Content: Agreed (i) – That Cabinet approve the budget for the demolition of Bell House and Barker House following completion of processes as detailed within the report at 3.2. Agreed (ii) – That Cabinet approve the HRA Capital Programme increase by £0.410m as detailed within the report submitted. Agreed (iii) – That Cabinet approve the procurement, and award of contracts via a compliant procurement process for all works and professional services required. Agreed (iv) – That Cabinet approve the granting of delegated authority to the Corporate Director of Housing, Regeneration and Operations in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Safe and Resilient Communities and Housing to take all necessary actions to implement the above recommendations. Agreed (v) – That Cabinet note the potential options for the future of the site, as set out at 3.5 of the report submitted.
