Purpose: Due to the cost of entering a contract above £250,000 to deliver this project, delegated authority is required. Furthermore, a specific budget and funding sources were identified in the Council’s Capital Programme for this project, which are being re-allocated. This does not create an additional pressure on the Council's capital resources. The decision to re-allocate CIL funding for the purpose of this project has been made, as per appendix A.

To seek authorisation from the Chief Executive Officer, in consultation with the Strategic Director of Neighbourhoods, Corporate Director of Finance and Resources (S151 Officer) and Corporate Director Legal and Governance (Solicitor and Monitoring Officer) to enter a contract with a value above £250,000. The contract is for the installation of a sports pitch drainage scheme at Purbrook Heath Recreation Ground.
