Purpose: The Cabinet Member for Community & Public Protection:   •Approved the commissioning of a tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention service through Citizens Advice South-East Staffordshire (CASES) for a period of four-years, at a value of £60,000 per annum, funded from the provision approved within the Medium-Term Financial Strategy.   •Approved the allocation of £60,000 for 2026/27 for the first year of the contract, noting that continuation of the arrangement in years two to four will be subject to performance and contract terms.   Delegated authority to the Director responsible for housing, in consultation with the Section 151 Officer and Monitoring Officer, to finalise the service specification, agree the contractual terms and enter into an appropriate funding agreement with CASES.   •Approved the inclusion within the agreement of appropriate contract management provisions, annual performance reporting requirements and express break clauses to protect the council’s interests and enable the council to terminate the arrangement where performance is unsatisfactory or outcomes are not being achieved.   •Received annual performance reporting on the operation of the service to inform ongoing contract management and any decision to exercise the Council’s contractual rights.
