Purpose: To agree the start of consultation with Adult Care providers in respect of commissioned fees for 2025/26
Content: The Cabinet considered a report of the Director of Care and Integration, Director of Adult Services (DASS) and Deputy Place Lead, which sought to inform of the consultation and engagement with providers to ascertain provider fees for 2025/26. The report author was in attendance to present the information and to address questions and comments of the Cabinet Members. Resolved: 1. That the report and national context be noted; 2. That it be noted that the HMR Integrated Care Partnership Committee had agreed at its meeting of 17th Decembers 2024: a. The Market shaping fee option (option 3 of the report) as a basis for consultation with providers b. To delegate authority to the Director of Health & Care Integration (DASS & Deputy Place Lead) in conjunction with Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Wellbeing to make any further decisions relating to implementation following care provider consultation, within the budget described in the report. Reason for decision: To uphold the Council’s Care Act duties, enabling a sufficient and sustainable provider market place, with good quality care and options for people needing care and support. To maintain strong provider relations and trust established with the two-year offer. Section 5 of the report outlined further the reasons and rationale for the recommendations made. Alternatives considered and rejected: As outlined at sections 4 and 5 of the report.
